SENDIASS

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Brand New Working Group Coming 2020

We are writing to inform you that soon The Voice Project and SENDIASS will be setting up a consultation group specifically to look at SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Services.

This group will aim to gain young people’s feedback on services and use this information to improve provision and to ensure future services are better and more family centred.

Here is a little back ground about our services.

 The Voice Project

The Voice Project is an independent consultation service for young people and families. We run many different groups and projects that give a voice to young people, targeting specific areas. The main area we work with are looked after children and foster carers, however we have recently started to branch out and we are now starting to consult with any young people and families that are supported by Staffordshire County Councils Services.

 SENDIASS

SENDIASS provide confidential information, advice and support to people up to the age of 25 with SEND. We support people with additional needs and their education, and we can listen to your thoughts, feelings and wishes about your young persons future and help them to share their views and find the right pathway for them.

We are looking for young people with or without Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), in mainstream schools and special educational schools, between the ages of 14-25 who have a passion to help change services for the future. Our groups will run in Stafford, on a Monday once a month from 17:00-18:30, with dinner provided. These will be starting on 24th February 2020.

For more information or if you think your young person would like to be involved, please contact us at cvp@staffordshire.gov.uk or call on 01785 253878.

 Yours sincerely,

The Voice Project and SENDIASS
