Over the half term in October, students were asked to design their very own pumpkins for our harvest festival pumpkin competition which was held on the 7th of November. Every class made a pumpkin based on their most popular design when we came back on Halloween.
There were so many awesome designs on show: Orla from Churchill designed a Dolly Parton pumpkin, Mia from Royal Doulton designed a cute minion pumpkin which was painted all yellow, Millie in Portmeirion designed a creative Harry Potter pumpkin, Mariyah in Bridgewater designed an awesome white pumpkin with heart eyes while Alisha in Gladstone designed a pumpkin with Queen Elizabeth II on it and that’s only a handful of them!
All the pumpkins were so creative and well thought out however Mrs Martin could only choose one winner…
Alisha’s design, Queen Elizabeth II, won overall and was met with a round of applause and a bucket of sweets for the designer! All the pumpkins were really good and we really appreciate all the wonderful submissions in each and every class including those that didn’t become pumpkins in the end. They were all absolutely fantastic!
