This year we had both World Book Day and Sparkle Day on Friday the 3rd of March! This meant that we had a big mix of sparkly book characters in our classes. To celebrate World Book Day each class had to prepare an interactive experience about the book of their choice, Clarice for example chose “Incredible You” by Nathan Read and Rhys Brisenden where as Royal Doulton chose “The Boy in the Dress” by David Walliams. 3 classes got together from each pathway (One class from Immersive, Exploratory and Questioning) to showcase their interactive experiences to one another. Clarice’s experience involved tasting new tastes, smelling new smells and being kind to each other whereas Royal Doulton’s experience of “The Boy in the Dress” by David Walliams had students dressing up and strutting their stuff down a makeshift runway. Gladstone hosted a Mad Hatter’s tea party in their interactive experience of “Alice in Wonderland” providing biscuits, cakes and drinks to others. So many different experiences for our students to enjoy!
